BoCha300-gThe polished metal below and ahead of the air intake appears to be at the bottom of the separate baggage compartment. The metal is a safeguard against luggage and separate cargo chipping the paint as it’s loaded, unloaded.

,  Note the grill inside what I believe to be the APU. There is a stencil above it that warns anyone close by to beware of the hot jet blast from the outlet.
