Diamond DA40 Diamond Star

I photographed this aircraft visited Springfield, Illinois. I was surprised by the coincidence of finding it on the tarmac next to a DA42 twin. When I mentioned that my friend Mike George also flies a DA42, the gents with the 40 explained they were Diamond dealers and had just returned Mikes 42 from an air show near Indianapolis where they had displayed it. I was fortunate to photograph the Diamond Star as they preflighted it and as they departed SPI, homeward bound. These pictures are thumbnailed.
